The primary renter (signer of the rental agreement) must be 18 years or older. This person is financially responsible for the rental.
Minimum Age to Operate / Ride Solo
Riders must be 18 years or older to operate a jet ski on their own.
Minimum Age for a Qualified Adult
(Responsible Operator)
A qualified adult operator must be 21+ to supervise younger passengers.
Minimum Age to Ride as a Passenger
(With a Qualified Adult 21+)
Passengers 9 years or older may ride, as long as they are accompanied by a qualified adult operator (21+).

- This step confirms your waiver, links your reservation, and alerts your guide that you're ready.

- Free Lifetime Certification: Prefer a permanent solution? Take the free, state-approved course through BoatUS Foundation. It takes approximately 3–4 hours to complete and your certificate is valid for life.

- Learn Before You Launch: Understand throttle, steering, and stop functions. PWCs steer using thrust.
- Start Slow: Practice in calm areas before picking up speed.
- Ride Smart: Avoid sharp turns and excessive speeds beyond your skill level.
- Protect Yourself: Always wear a life jacket and stay away from shallow or weed-filled areas.
- Passengers: All must wear life jackets. Distribute weight evenly. Avoid sudden movements.
- Right-of-Way: Steer right in head-on situations; maintain course when crossing paths.
- If You Fall Off: Re-board from the back. Shut off engine before climbing.
- Capsizing: Follow guide instructions to flip upright and re-board.
- Avoiding Collisions: Keep a safe speed and distance from others.
- Docking: Always slow down early. PWCs have no brakes.
What Not To Do

- Do not follow directly behind another watercraft.
- Do not splash, spray, or harass other riders or boats.
- Do not perform tricks like jumping wakes or sharp turns.
- Do not ride under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
- Do not steer without throttle when avoiding obstacles.
- Do not participate without fully understanding your craft.
Breaking these rules will end your ride immediately. You will be towed back to shore.
